The melodic piano keys and pulsating bass line only enhance the heavy subject matter. He refers to this track as ‘the realest song I ever wrote’, and after listening to this vivid story of betrayal, awakening, and remorse you’ll understand why. TEACH takes a powerful and sincere look at the pain inflicted by a man’s indiscretions, and he makes an earnest effort to comfort the heartbroken as well as inspire change. Timothy "TEACH" Jones is a man of God who is determined to use all of his gifts to inspire and influence the masses. As an effective teacher of the Word, a prolific song writer/artist, a loyal Youth Pastor, and an accomplished actor, there is a very special anointing on his life! "It’s been prophesied to me that God would use me to reach millions of people, so I just want to make sure that I’m living the life that I promote", says TEACH when asked about his high calling. This distinctive artist possesses global crowd appeal, and he has been referred to as ‘a renaissance man’ due to his diverse attributes. Although this established minister of the gospel now promotes the "good news" with confidence, TEACH has a testimony that makes him relevant to people from all walks of life. TEACH explains, "I was born in Los Angeles, raised in southern California, and like many young people I made my fair share of mistakes". Enamored by the "gangsta lifestyle", his bad choices landed him in jail, alcohol anonymous, and desperate for change. At the age of 21 he received a call from his older brother, Korey, that would provide the transformation that he was searching for. "He prayed with me, I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart, and I sensed an immediate peace", says TEACH. He credits that decision 14 years ago as "the best choice" he ever made. His musical background dates back to 1984 when he wrote his first rap song (at the age of 9) and when he also began classical piano lessons. Explaining how Hip-Hop has evolved in his life TEACH shares, "As a teenager it was more of a fun hobby, but when I got saved I saw it as a tool that I could use to appeal to young people and minister to them". Since 1995, TEACH has released several independently produced ‘underground’ recordings including "Think Twice", "Soul Music", and "Nothin’ To Prove". He’s been a guest artist on multiple projects such as Christsyde’s "Who Dat" and Kenny Smith’s award-winning "So Real". In 2007, he was signed to CSR Entertainment and featured on the epic CD/DVD "Welcome To CSR" by The CSR Entertainment Family. The DVD includes footage from BET News, TBN, CBS Evening News with Katie Couric, etc…as the label roster received world-wide exposure. A theatrically trained actor, TEACH has had commanding roles in several hit gospel stage plays. Labeled by directors as a "natural" because of his uncanny ability to portray a broad range of characters, he says that one of his dreams is to work with the trailblazing Tyler Perry. Only an unexpected knee injury prevented him from doing so in 2007…but with leading man qualities, ample experience in theater, and a humble attitude TEACH is sure to see his dreams become a reality. "Good movies minister to me, so my desire is to follow Tyler Perry’s example and use this art form to address the issues that people are dealing with and to spread hope", says a passionate TEACH when asked about the effectiveness of cinema as a ministry tool. "Everyone’s been through something, and when you can depict real life and follow that with a message of hope – you’ve just supplied a vital necessity". TEACH serves as Youth Pastor at Vine-Life Christian Fellowship in Riverside, CA. under the leadership of Dr. Robert L. Wilks, Jr. He states that one of his greatest joys is leading the youth ministry and impacting young people for Christ. "Traveling and evangelizing is special, but there’s nothing more rewarding than to witness kids develop in their own relationship with Christ and to know that you helped influence them", boasts TEACH. He has been married for 11 years to Katina (for whom he affectionately penned the endearing "Katina Maria" on his current CD) and they have two beautiful daughters, Chanelle (8) and Tiffani (6). Family is priority for this multi-talented minister, and TEACH proudly proclaims that his first ministry is "at home". A devoted husband and loving father, his credibility is reflected in his personal standard of integrity. TEACH released "Born To Shine" independently after starting Kingdom Media Group where his theme is ‘maximizing media for global influence’.
